About Dava Bead and Trade
Dava Bead & Trade was founded in 1991 by Anita Bermont. With a background in early childhood education and occupational therapy, what became very clear was the value of creative expression as a means of establishing a sense of well being. With a passion for beadwork as the medium of her choice, and with the inspiration and support of her family, the vision for Dava Bead & Trade came to life.
Today, Dava Bead & Trade is an experience to behold. A retail shop in Portland, Oregon and a wholesale division, support the original vision. We offer a strong focus on workshops, customer service and assistance, a workspace in the shop in which to plan your projects and a well rounded selection of quality materials to choose from.
We are a community of people that count, sort, tie, vial, bag, bead, advise, act as creativity coaches and above all...we enjoy each others’ company, brought together by a common passion!

Change of Form
Starting October 1, 2008, we no longer offer retail sales through this website. We have moved our focus to offering qualified buyers the very best products and service through our Dava Bead Wholesale division. While we are sad to close down this aspect of our web presence, we are also excited to be consolidating our energy into meeting the needs of designers and bead shops.
