Basic Bead Stringing
In this technique class, you will learn about the different materials and tools used for stringing beads. This will include the use of SoftFlex and crimp beads, knotting between beads and applying bead tips, and attaching cord crimps and a clasp to leather cording. Class fee includes all materials. Each workshop meets once.

Bezel Set Ring NEW!
Expand your soldering skills with stone setting to make a striking ring. Students will learn to set a stone with bezel wire, make a simple band ring, solder multiple joints, and shape and finish the ring.

Bezel Setting NEW!
Expand your soldering skills to incorporate stone setting into a unique pendant. Students will be introduced to various stone settings and learn to measure, cut and prepare materials for a bezel wire setting. Bezel joints and necklace loops will also be covered.

Button Jewelry
Break out your button collection for this fun filled class that incorporates wirework and knotting techniques to make unique jewelry. Each student will leave with one or two finished pieces of jewelry and ideas for many, many more. You will also do a button swap with other students, so bring your collection in for this sharing.

Earring Clinic
Learn the basics to design eye-catching earrings. This is a design theory class and will cover balance, color theory and other design elements. Each student will put together several earring designs.

Enameling I
Students will create original enamel pendants and earrings with copper pieces they have prepared. To prepare the copper, students will learn to cut, drill, file and dome. Then, they will explore two enameling techniques including stenciling. Once pieces are fired in the kiln, students may attach pieces to chain or ear wires to create amazing jewelry!

Findings... Make Your Own!
Learn to make your own headpins, hook clasps and earwires. You will learn wire manipulation, torch use, forging and planishing.

Fusing
Learn the basics of fusing fine silver, a simpler alternative to soldering. Due to the nature of fine silver, no chemicals are needed in this process. The class will begin with coiling rings and learning how to use a jeweler's saw. With these rings, you will practice fusing (with a butane torch) individual links and then learn how to make chain. Once links are made, they can be hammered or shaped however you like!

Learn to make an intricate bangle and an amazing semiprecious pendant. The Bird Nest Bangle will allow you to explore color combinations, wire pounding and free-form "nesting" of beads. The rectangular pendant consists of a coiled bezel and optional loops for decoration or to add dangles. Students will leave with a completed pendant and the knowledge to complete their bangle at home.
