Tara's Treasures
Learn to make an intricate bangle and an amazing semiprecious pendant. The Bird Nest Bangle will allow you to explore color combinations, wire pounding and free-form "nesting" of beads. The rectangular pendant consists of a coiled bezel and optional loops for decoration or to add dangles. Students will leave with a completed pendant and the knowledge to complete their bangle at home.

Supply List
- Wire
- For Rectangular Pendant:
- 1 foot EACH of 16g, 18g, 20g, 22g dead soft sterling silver wire
- 5 feet of 26g dead soft sterling silver wire. Choose the wire size based on the hole size of your beads.
- For Bird Nest Bangle:
- 8 inches of 12g dead soft sterling silver wire
- 20 feet of 26g dead soft sterling silver wire
- 20 feet of 28g dead soft sterling silver or fine silver wire
- Beads
- For Rectangular Pendant:
- Any square or rectangular-shaped gemstones that are at least an inch in size. (Stones that have sharper corners and a thicker edge will be the easiest to set into place and are the least likely to spin or flip. A hole that is at least big enough for 22 gauge to fit through is also recommended.)
- For Bird Nest Bangle:
- An assortment of gemstones and pearls that range between 1mm and 6mm in size. Think tiny and small! I do not recommend using glass beads because of their large hole size. In this case, beads with small holes are actually preferable. A small amount of 4 or 6mm “round” or “rondelle” Swarovski crystals can be added. Avoid bicones. I also like using tiny Hilltribe Silver beads from Thailand. Play with color combinations, adding variety to the mixture until you have at least a small (2”x3” or 3”x3”) zip-lock bag that is nearly full.
